Steampunk-Tree-Island!

Hey guys!
Sorry for not posting anything for such a long time! Last week has been pretty busy because I went to Berlin with my school grade. It was a very fun time! The buildings in Berlin are just amazing, I love the architecture there! Oh, I think I forgot to mention the comic-stores... I think I fell in love with them :D
But anyway, I think I have to post some paintings! Here is a Tree-Island I painted a few months ago. Looks a bit weird, but I like it anyway! (It isn't finished, yet. Hope you don't mind because the chances that I will finish it are very bad... :))

Development of the Tels!

I want to share with you some stuff from my web comic I started a few years ago! It has developed in such a great way, I would've never imagined that my skill would get that high though it is not that high in comparison to other artists, yet. I want to show you some old drawings and some new ones, because I think the greatest thing of every artist is his/ her development through time. I always loved to see how artists build up an own style and technique!
I will benign with new stuff, because I have to scan the older drawings!

Hi there!
Been A long time since I uploaded a painting! The last few days I just made some sketches while working on a commissioned piece and learning for school, exams are starting this week. But I found time to paint this little painting of a girl, I saw her a few days ago when I was waiting for the bus. I loved how she looked like so I decided to paint her.

It took me very long to go along this painting because when I got to the rendering process I lost my Inspiration for it. a few weeks later I finally finished it and here it is. Pikeman!

Did you know that I am a big fan of medieval armor and architecture? Especially the german so called 'Landsknechte', a mercenary of the 15th and16th century. They were very brutal and had a unique fashion style. Though the following guy isn't a 'Landsknecht' he is not less awesome. A pikeman! I think, they were used in the army around the same time...

It is 4:38 am now. So... good morning, everyone!

At first, if you are reading this, I will thank you for visiting my new Blog! Okay, most of the main settings are done for this Blog! If you wonder, why I created it... I will tell you. But first, let me introduce my self to you! My name (as you can read in the headline) is Artur Schulz and I am an german Illustrator.
So..if you might guess... I make art, haha! But I also love looking at others work... sometimes to study it, sometimes to take inspiration from it... or sometimes just to enjoy it. And this is the reason why I created this Blog. I will share my work on this page  for young artists who enjoy art as much as I do and may need some inspiration. I mean... there is now reason to hide art from others, right? :) So I hope you will enjoy the stuff I am going to share as much as I enjoy the creation of it!
